The room has to change
- Not enough counter
- Appliances in the wrong place
- A wall you want gone
- Adding an island
- Moving the sink or range
- Boxes that are water damaged
- Particleboard that won’t hold a screw
- Ceiling-height storage you don’t have

A full remodel is the only option that can move a sink, widen a walkway, or take out a wall. The whole room comes out and a new one goes in — layout, cabinetry, counters, lighting, and appliances planned together rather than fitted around whatever was there before.
First, honestly
A full remodel is the largest job we do, and it’s the right answer far less often than the industry implies. If your cabinet boxes are square, hold a screw, and sit where you want them, then replacing them is paying to solve a problem you don’t have.
Come here when the room itself is working against you — not when it just looks tired.
What’s included
Included in every remodel
Older American cabinets have a wooden face frame across the front of every box. It looks like a picture frame, and it costs you the space behind it. Frameless — the European method — drops that frame and fixes the doors straight to the sides of the box.
Without a frame in the way, the opening is nearly as wide as the cabinet. Drawers run the full internal width, so a deep pan drawer actually holds deep pans.
Full access to the back corner of every shelf, and no lip at the bottom of the opening to lift a mixer over.
Doors sit edge to edge with a consistent reveal between them, so the run reads as one surface rather than a row of separate boxes.
An integrated pull machined into the top edge of the door, or a recessed channel behind it, takes hardware out of the picture entirely.
| Frameless | Face frame | |
|---|---|---|
| Usable interior width | Up to 15% more | Reduced by the frame |
| Drawer box width | Full internal width | Narrowed on both sides |
| Door gaps | Even reveal, flush face | Frame visible between doors |
| Hinges | Concealed, six-way adjustable | Often partly visible |
| Best suited to | Contemporary and minimal rooms | Traditional and shaker rooms |

How long it takes
We walk the room, measure, and talk through how the kitchen fails you today. You get a written scope and a price range before anything is drawn.
About 90 minutes
Layouts, elevations, finishes, and hardware, revised with you until the plan is the one you want. The quote is fixed at the end of this stage.
2–3 weeks
Your cabinetry is built to the approved drawings while the site is prepared. Nothing is ordered until you’ve signed off.
3–5 weeks
The old kitchen comes out and any plumbing or electrical moves happen. The loudest part, and the part we keep shortest.
3–5 days
Cabinets set and levelled, counters templated and fitted, appliances connected, hardware adjusted.
5–10 days
We go through the room with you, adjust every door and drawer, and leave a care sheet for the finishes.
Same day
Kitchen out of use for roughly 2–4 weeks. Most of the schedule above happens before we touch your house.
What it costs
New cabinetry starts at $30,000. Every kitchen is quoted after a free site visit, so you can tell early whether we’re in the right neighbourhood before anyone spends time on a design.

Questions
Almost always, yes. The kitchen itself is unusable for roughly 2–4 weeks, so we help you set up a temporary sink, fridge, and microwave elsewhere before demolition starts.
Confirm which permits DOSI pulls, and whether plumbing and electrical are in-house or subcontracted.
Usually. Bring the model numbers to the site visit and we design the openings around them. If you’re replacing an appliance, choose it before fabrication — the cabinet gets built to the appliance, not the other way round.
You get a range at the first visit, before any design work, precisely so this doesn’t happen at the end. If the fixed quote still runs high, we show you what to change to bring it down — usually finish level, island size, or the number of tall units.
Film changes what your existing cabinets look like. It can’t move a sink, widen a walkway, or add an island, because the boxes never leave the wall. If the layout is the problem, film won’t fix it — see Interior Film to compare them directly.
